Cap Formentor – access restrictions summer 2024
Fantastic views and turquoise sea await you at Cap Formentor in the north of Mallorca. But in the high season months, the popular peninsula can get crowded. In order to protect the environment and ensure a pleasant experience for all visitors, temporary access restrictions for private vehicles will also apply in 2024.
Important information:
- Period of closure: June 1 to September 30, 2024
- Time: 10:00 to 22:30
- Affected: Private cars without express authorization
- Exceptions:
- Residents and hotel guests with special permission
- Vehicles with a disabled pass
- Motorcycles
- Cabs
- Parking facilities:
- Parking lot on Formentor beach (limited time)
- Free parking on the side road of the Port de Pollença bypass (shuttle bus stops)

- Shuttle bus: Line 334 from Alcúdia and Port de Pollença (timetables: https://www.tib.org/de/inici)
- Cab
- On foot or by bike (some sections car-free)
Further information:
- Fines:
- Failure to comply with the transit ban: €80 (€40 if paid on time within 2 weeks)
- Unauthorized passage to the lighthouse: 200€ (100€ if payment is made within 2 weeks)
