The winding road from Camp de Mar in southwest Mallorca leads through a wooded landscape with fragrant pine trees to Port d’Andratx. As if from nowhere, the pretty blue bay with its countless white boats appears in the final meters; in the background, the Tramuntana mountains rise majestically.
Long and short jetties and piers extend into the harbor on either side of the U-shaped bay of Port d’Andratx, with many boats, from old fishing trawlers to elegant sailing yachts, gently rocking on the waves. The marina, considered one of the most beautiful natural harbors in the world, looks almost like a small fjord. Around 500 vessels can moor here – and in the summer months, it certainly feels like they all do.
